Academeia High School
Modern, spacious and inspiring, the Akademeia High School combines a unique academic programme with a one-of-a-kind space designed for efficient academic work, self-learning and relaxation. The building was developed by Tacit Investment.
The private high school located at the junction of Ledóchowska and Hlonda streets is original in many respects. The designers from an award-winning architectural studio Medusa Group created a school, which inspires, stimulates and gives students a true sense of being in a unique environment.
The school building is a professional space for academic work, including spacious teaching rooms, state-of-the-art biology, chemistry and physics laboratories, as well as spacious sports facilities. For students eager to hone their artistic talents, there is a 100 sqm art studio, a music room with a recording studio, a photo lab, a theatre auditorium and a multimedia studio.
One of the main aims of the school founders was to create a place where students would be happy to return – hence the idea of designing a nice space to spend free time between classes. The school’s green patio is a perfect spot to unwind, while the rooftop garden where you can grow herbs, fruit and vegetables, is a perfect example of the school’s green approach. The building has received the international LEED certification awarded for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of resource-efficient, high-performing, healthy, cost-effective buildings.
The educational offer of Akademeia High School is an individual approach and assessment of the skills of each student. Qualified staff, already at the recruitment stage, determines the strengths of the student, learns the learning style and supports them in choosing the best matriculation subjects, determining the field of study and the best career path.
The teachers of the new high school are graduates of Oxford, Cambridge, Ivy League and the best Polish universities. All classes are held in English. The curriculum ends with the British A-level baccalaureate, giving full freedom of choice of matriculation subjects, recognized by all universities in the world. The school offers an extensive system of academic and artistic scholarships.
